St Catharine's RC church Chipping Campden:
reredos thoroughly dry cleaned
and restored |
The company offers a specialist consultancy in the conservation of historic buildings, specialising in masonry structures. This is linked to a comprehensive contracting service embracing associated trade areas.
The realisation has increased in recent years that traditional approach to building repair with excessive replacement of architectural elements is inadequate to the spirit of conservation. In attempting to retain maximum original material and a sensible level of structural and visual integrity, techniques can be applied to hold back the mechanisms of deterioration and decay. Benefiting from more than twenty years experience, an undertaking is given that all disciplines offered are integrated within the ethical context of conservation.
In brief we aim:
We can organise training workshops in craft skills and conservation methodology, as well as arranging lectures and slide presentations of all the above conservation issues. Information and data is drawn from a broad range of practical case studies and academic research.
Although specialises in stone structures, close professional contact is maintained with specialists in associated areas, such as timber and metal structural work. It is the aim of this company to provide a satisfactory service to the benefit of architectural heritage and the client and recommendations can be made to relevant specialists. Survey, inspection and some holding work may be undertaken at all levels using specialist-trained personnel in practical conservation, including a team of conservators trained in specialist high level rope access techniques.
